Halo & DRL Signature Headlights
A daytime running light signature is the closest thing this industry has to a logo. It is the shape people recognise at a distance and in a mirror, and it is genuinely customisable: a halo ring, a C-signature, a sequential bar, a segmented pattern. This is where a shop or a fleet can build a look that is actually its own.
It is also where the colour rules bite. On a US road vehicle, forward-facing lighting is white or, where the function calls for it, amber; front turn signals must be amber, and colour-shifted DRLs are a show-and-off-road choice rather than a road-legal one. Multicolour halo kits sell extremely well and almost none of them are compliant when running anything other than white on the road. We will build one and we will label it.
The build detail that separates a good signature from a cheap one is the diffuser. A raw LED strip gives you a line of visible dots; a properly diffused light guide gives an even bar with no hot spots, and it is what makes an aftermarket signature read as factory rather than as an accessory. We quote the diffusion approach, the LED bin and the driver, because a flickering DRL is nearly always a driver or PWM compatibility problem rather than a bad LED.
